Cookies Policy

You can set your devices to accept all cookies, to notify you when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time.

A cookie is a small text file containing an identifier (a string of letters and numbers) that is sent by a web server to a web browser and stored by the browser.  The identifier is then sent back to the server each time the browser requests a page from the server.

Users have the opportunity to set their devices to accept all cookies, to notify them when a cookie is issued, or not to receive cookies at any time.

The last of these, means that certain personalised features cannot then be provided to that user and accordingly they may not be able to take full advantage of all of the website's features. Each browser is different, so check the "Help" menu of your browser to learn how to change your cookie preferences.

Cookies used on this website.

We will/may send to you the following cookies:

  • Campaign Page cookie
  • Disclaimer Page cookie
  • Language selector cookie
  • Site Catalyst cookie
  • Social media cookies (e.g. Facebook, Google Plus +1, and similar)
  • YouTube video cookie.

Our websites may include social media features or widgets, such as the Facebook Like button. Use of these features may allow them to collect your IP address, detect which page you are visiting on our site, and set a cookie to enable the feature to function properly. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the third party providing the function.

Site Catalyst

Securitas uses Site Catalyst, a web analytics service provided by Adobe Systems, Inc (Adobe). Site Catalyst sets a cookie in order to evaluate your use of the website and compile reports for us on activity on the website.

Adobe stores the information collected by the cookie on servers. Adobe may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Adobe’s behalf. By using the Securitas website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Adobe in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Adobe’s privacy policy is available at: www.omniture.com/en/privacy/product

Google Analytics

Securitas uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. Google Analytics sets a cookie in order to evaluate your use of the website and compile reports for us on activity on the website.

Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. By using the Securitas website, you consent to the processing of data about you by Google in the manner and for the purposes set out above.

Google’s privacy policy is available at: www.google.com/privacypolicy.html

How we use cookies

During the course of any visit to the Securitas website, the pages you see, along with any cookies, are downloaded to your device. Many websites do this, because cookies enable website publishers to do useful things like find out whether the device (and probably its user) has visited the website before.  This is done on a repeat visit by examining any cookie left there on the last visit.

In order to be able to provide relevant information to our visitors, we need aggregated statistical visitor data that is collected by means of cookies.

Managing your cookies

Securitas will not use cookies to collect personally identifiable information about you. However, if you wish to restrict or block the cookies which are set by the Securitas website, or indeed any other website, you can do this through your browser settings. The Help function within your browser should tell you how.

Alternatively, you may wish to visit www.aboutcookies.org/, which contains comprehensive information on how to do this on a wide variety of browsers.
You will also find details on how to delete cookies from your computer as well as more general information about cookies. For information on how to do this on the browser of your mobile phone you will need to refer to your handset manual.

Contact Information

If you have any queries or concerns about the policies set out above, please do not hesitate to contact Securitas UK in writing or by email via the contact details below:

Cookie List

A cookie is a small piece of data (text file) that a website – when visited by a user – asks your browser to store on your device in order to remember information about you, such as your language preference or login information. Those cookies are set by us and called first-party cookies. We also use third-party cookies – which are cookies from a domain different than the domain of the website you are visiting – for our advertising and marketing efforts. More specifically, we use cookies and other tracking technologies for the following purposes:

They are usually only set in response to actions made by you which amount to a request for services, such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in or filling in forms. You can set your browser to block or alert you about these cookies, but some parts of the site will not then work. These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.
