Securitas employees across the UK took part in the Giving Tree campaign in December, donating over 720 Christmas gifts to children via the KidsOut charity.
The KidsOut Giving Tree initiative invited businesses ‘ditch Secret Santa’ and buy toys for children in local refuge homes instead. Many of the children have escaped domestic violence and have been forced to flee from their homes, often leaving all their possessions behind.
Securitas offices up and down the UK decorated their Christmas trees with special tags: each included a child’s name, age and a suggested gift. Securitas employees donated hundreds of presents and KidsOut arranged to collect and distribute the gifts to children in local refuges.
Gordon Moulds, CEO of the KidsOut charity, commented: “Every year thousands of children are forced to spend Christmas in refuge, away from their family and friends. Without the support of KidsOut, many would not even have the chance to receive a brand new toy at Christmas. We are thankful to Securitas for their generous contribution to the Giving Tree initiative, with individuals across their UK branches helping to bring some fun and happiness to children at Christmas.”
