Gaining expertise that Norway depends on
The security guard training course lasts 163 hours over four weeks and provides you with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The security guard training course is primarily held during the day, Monday to Friday. You will learn about conflict management, first aid, law, and safety procedures, among other things. The course includes:
- 47 hours of e-learning
- 65 hours of classroom teaching
- 45 hours of practical training at training facilities
- 6-hour exam consisting of a multiple-choice test and two case studies
- The exam must be completed and passed within six months of the start of the training.
The e-learning is done at home and must be completed before you show up for classroom teaching.
Price and payment
The security guard training at Securitasskolen costs NOK 27,900 for the entire course, and we offer partial payment via Klarna.

Exam
You only have two attempts at both the multiple-choice exam and the case assignment. If you do not pass the exam, you must complete a new security guard training course. Both exams must be passed in order to obtain a valid security guard certification.
What do you need?
You do not need any prior knowledge, just a satisfactory conduct record and fluent written and spoken Norwegian. After passing the exam, you will receive an approved security guard certification and can apply for jobs as a security guard.
