Job Description
We are seeking a professional and reliable Security Officer to join our team in Barry, United Kingdom. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors.
- Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring only authorised personnel are admitted
- Conduct regular patrols and inspections to deter and detect suspicious activity
- Respond swiftly and decisively to alarms and emergencies, maintaining a calm and professional demeanour
- Provide excellent customer service whilst maintaining a strong security presence
- Compose clear, accurate incident reports and maintain detailed security logs
- Operate security systems and surveillance equipment as required
- Ensure compliance with site-specific procedures and protocols
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance security skills and knowledge
Qualifications
- Valid SIA licence
- First Aid certification
- Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the security industry
- Right to work in the UK
- 5-year checkable work history
- Willingness to undertake fire safety course provided by the company
- Ability to commute to Barry, United Kingdom
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Customer-focused approach with a commitment to exemplary service
- Physical fitness and ability to stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
- Thorough knowledge of security protocols and emergency procedures
- Resilient and decisive nature, with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Proficiency in operating security systems and surveillance equipment
