Learning and Development
We do - no matter where you are in your career, there are plenty of opportunities to learn and develop at Securitas.
Maximise your potential
You are unique and so are your career choices, but if you are part of our team we'll help bring out the very best in you.
Our Securitas Training and Development Academy is one of only a few security specialist centres in the UK approved to deliver training approved by:
- City & Guilds
- Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance (HABC)
- Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM)
- Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)
- Qualification Network (QN).
Our trainers are qualified through MHFA England who deliver Mental Health Awareness and Mental Health First Aid training throughout the business from officers right through to senior executive team.
You can access a range of courses using our online learning management system, we provide on the job training, coaching and even mentoring too. You can add to your skills, take on a role in a different part of the business, or even stay where you are, safe in the knowledge that we'll always help you maximise your potential.
For many of our security roles working with clients, you will need an Security Industry Authority (SIA) licence. The job description will normally state if an SIA licence is required.
If you don't have a licence and the role requires it, we may be able to help cover the cost of obtaining your licence, however please get in touch with our recruitment team first.
We run regular SIA licence courses delivered by our highly experienced trainers, and an SIA licence must be renewed every three years.
If you are a Securitas employee we will cover the cost of your SIA licence renewal.
