Job Description
Job Title: Deputy Security Controller
π Location: Brockworth, Gloucester (GL3 4AD)
π· Pay Rate: Β£18.89 per hour (inclusive of oncall payment) Plus additional call out payment and clothing allowance
π Hours: 40 hours per week

Early Shift: 06:00 β 14:00
Late Shift: 13:30 β 21:30
Rotation: 2 weeks early, 2 weeks late (Monday to Friday)

About the Role:
Securitas Security Services (UK) Ltd is seeking a professional and proactive Deputy Security Controller to support the client at their Gloucester site. This is a critical role providing frontline security advice, operational management, and compliance in line with HMG security policies and client-specific requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert security advice and support to employees and stakeholders
Maintain and operate security systems, including Access Control and SISYS databases
Lead audits, spot checks, and musters, producing detailed reports and recommendations
Line manage and support security personnel on site
Act as a central point of contact for all security matters on site
Liaise with internal departments, external agencies, and other Security Controllers
Promote security awareness and compliance across all levels
Maintain effective communication and confidentiality at all times
Attend security team meetings and ensure policies are implemented and reviewed regularly
Assist with incident investigations and continuous service improvement
Qualifications
Candidate Requirements:

Must live within 30 minutes of the site (GL3 4AD)

SIA Licence preferred β training can be provided for the right candidate
β
DV Clearance preferred β must be willing and eligible to obtain DV clearance
β
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
β
Strong IT skills, including MS Office and security software
β
Ability to lead, manage and motivate a team
β
Strong organisational skills and ability to work under pressure
β
Committed to safety, integrity, and continuous improvement
Desirable:
Professional security qualifications or membership
Knowledge and experience in personal, physical, and IT security
Previous experience in a government, defence, or high-security environment
