Job Description
Responsibilities
As an Aviation Security Officer, your mission is to provide a visible and responsive security presence, ensuring safety and security across the site. Your daily tasks will include:
- X-ray screening of cargo, baggage, and goods
- Conducting searches of people, vehicles, and aircraft
- Access control duties at secure site entry points
- Document and ID checks
- Supporting incident response and emergency services
- Escorting VIPs and high-value cargo
- Operating radios and control room systems
- Writing clear reports and logs of incidents
You’ll need to stay alert, think quickly, and maintain professionalism under pressure – whether it’s identifying suspicious items or dealing with complex security protocols.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- Experience in a similar role (armed services, civil police, or aviation industry ideal)
- Clean full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass a 5-year background check and criminal record check
- Physically fit and colour vision test passed (required for X-ray screening)
- Strong communication and report writing skills
- Customer service focused, with a calm and professional attitude
- Willingness to undergo and maintain mandatory aviation training (CSO, NASP, NXCT, Firearms Recognition)
- First Aid certification (desirable)
- Manual handling training (desirable)
- Flexible approach to shifts and operational demands (desirable)
