Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:
- Monitor and operate life safety, access control, and loss prevention systems
- Respond to alarms and dispatch personnel to investigate incidents
- Answer multi-line telephones and communicate via radio and intercom systems
- Dispatch mobile officers to secure access areas and respond to emergencies
- Maintain detailed shift records and generate incident reports
- Assist and direct emergency personnel and internal response teams
- Observe and report unsafe or unusual activities
- Monitor security personnel movements to ensure safety and efficiency
- Initiate emergency calls and follow response procedures
- Support the development and implementation of security policies
- Provide feedback to improve operational processes
- Monitor media and other sources for relevant client data
- Participate in training and development courses
- Uphold Securitas’ values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness
- Assist in maintaining and updating control room documentation

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
Essential
- Valid SIA Frontline Licence and CCTV Licence
- Minimum 3 years of corporate safety/security experience
- 2–3 years of SOC operator experience
- Advanced computer skills and ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and logical thinking skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK and 5-year checkable history
Desirable
- Valid UK Driving Licence
- Experience with scheduling technology systems
- Previous CCTV operator experience
- Familiarity with alarm monitoring systems and radio/phone usage
- Basic First Aid Certification
