π Location: PR4 1AX, Preston & Samlesbury BB2 7LF
β³ Hours: 42 hours per week
π Shift Pattern: Days, nights, and weekends
π° Rate of Pay: Β£16.07 per hour
As a Protective Service Officer in our Response Team, you'll be part of a dynamic group based in the North West of England. Your primary function will be to carry out short-term deployments to protect assets abroad, typically lasting 2-4 nights depending on client needs. These deployments often occur at short notice, adding an element of excitement and urgency to your role. Additionally, you will provide resilience at our client's site in Warton and other locations across the UK as needed, ensuring that our clients' assets are always safeguarded.

π Your Role:
π‘ Asset Protection: Safeguard client properties, equipment, and personnel by maintaining a secure environment. Implement effective deterrence strategies against theft, vandalism, or other threats.
β Mobile Protection: Travel between client locations as needed, ensuring seamless security coverage and rapid response to potential risks.
π Surveillance & Monitoring: Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, fire alarms, and access controls, to detect and prevent unauthorized activities.
π¨ Incident & Emergency Response: Act swiftly in case of emergencies, including security breaches, medical incidents, or fire alarms. Liaise with emergency services and follow established protocols.
π Security Protocol Enforcement: Adhere to and enforce site security procedures, including visitor management, ID verification, and controlled access measures.
π€ Stakeholder Support: Provide assistance and guidance to employees, visitors, and contractors while ensuring a professional and reassuring security presence.
π Professional Conduct & Presentation: Maintain a smart and professional appearance, acting as a trusted representative of both the client and security team.
Qualifications
π§ What Weβre Looking For:
π Valid SIA Licence (essential)
π Must have a valid UK driving licence with access to own vehicle
π Previous security or protective service experience (preferred but not essential)
π¬ Strong communication and observational skills
β Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive under pressure
π High level of integrity and reliability
π Availability to work a flexible shift pattern
π¬π§ Must be a British citizen by birth or have held a British passport for a minimum of 5 years
π Must have a 5-year checkable work history
