    📍 Location: Cardiff CWL20
    💰 Pay: £19.17 per Hour 
    📅 Hours:  30 hours a week - Monday to Friday

    As a Screening Officer at Microsoft’s Data Centre, you’ll do more than safeguard critical infrastructure—you’ll help create an environment where innovation thrives. Your presence will make others feel secure, respected, and supported.

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

    • Perform mandatory screening and access control for all personnel and visitors entering the data centre.
    • Ensure compliance with Microsoft security protocols and site-specific procedures.
    • Deliver exceptional customer service with a professional, “white glove” approach.
    • Monitor and report any irregularities or security breaches promptly and accurately.
    • Maintain accurate records of screening activities and access logs.
    • Operate screening equipment and follow structured processes with precision.
    • Work independently in a fast-paced environment while contributing to a collaborative team.
    • Support incident response and escalation procedures when required.
    • Uphold confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the role.
    • Engage in continuous learning and development to stay aligned with evolving security standards.

    Qualifications

    What we’re looking for:

    We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

    • Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
    • The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
    • Proven experience in data centre operations, security industry, or forces/services background.
    • Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
    • Strong people management skills and high emotional intelligence.
    • High level of professionalism and strong command presence.
    • Excellent customer service skills with a “white glove” attitude.
    • Good English communication skills (both verbal and written).
    • Reliable, proactive, and a great team player.
    • Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions.
    • Willingness to learn and work to structured procedures.
    • Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work independently while contributing to an engaging team.
