The Resident Security Integration Engineer is a hands-on technical role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting critical physical security systems and associated hardware within a high-profile customer environment. Supporting sites across the EMEA region, youâll work closely with the customer, the Lead Security Technology Representative, and key internal stakeholders to ensure systems operate reliably and securely.
As a Resident Security Integration Engineer, you will be the on-site technical expert, ensuring the reliability, performance, and ongoing support of physical security systems while working closely with customers and internal stakeholders across the EMEA region.

Job Description
System Support and Maintenance
- Provide break/fix support for CCTV, access control, and other physical security devices.
- Perform programming, configuration, and maintenance within platforms such as Genetec Security Centre, Câ˘CURE 9000, Lennell and related systems.
- Monitor devices and systems for performance, connectivity, and operational integrity.
- Troubleshoot hardware and network-related issues affecting security systems.
- Replace and configure defective or end-of-life components as required.
Preventive and Quality Assurance Tasks
- Conduct preventive maintenance and system health checks according to Bloomberg-defined cycles.
- Verify camera streams, alarm inputs, and access control readers for proper functionality.
- Document device status, firmware updates, and configuration changes.
- Support compliance and audit preparation, ensuring system functionality aligns with corporate and regulatory standards.
Coordination and Communication
- Coordinate task execution and reporting with the Lead Security Technology Representative
- Collaborate with site operations, networking, and facilities teams to resolve infrastructure-related dependencies.
- Communicate effectively with Bloomberg stakeholders, providing clear status updates and escalation of critical issues.
- Participate in cross-regional meetings, training sessions, and upgrade activities as directed.
System Integration and Commissioning
- Assist with the onboarding and integration of new devices (e.g., cameras, controllers, workstations) into enterprise systems.
- Verify configurations and ensure alignment with Bloomberg security technology standards.
- Provide technical feedback and field-based insights to Bloomberg engineering or project management teams to support continuous improvement.
Availability and Coverage
- Provide on-site support during standard business hours.
- Participate in after-hours or on-call rotations for critical incidents, outages, or maintenance windows as required.
Deliverables and Reporting
The Role will be expected to input, produce and maintain the following documentation and reports:
- Daily activity logs summarizing work performed, system issues, and resolutions.
- Maintenance and inspection reports detailing completed preventive maintenance activities.
- Equipment replacement, firmware update, and configuration change records.
- Escalation summaries for incidents requiring further engineering or vendor intervention.
- Monthly summary report of service metrics, notable issues, and improvement recommendations.
Qualifications
Essential
- 3â5 years of relevant experience supporting or maintaining physical security systems.
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
- Proficiency with Genetec Security Centre (Omnicast/Synergis) and Câ˘CURE 9000 platforms.
- Working knowledge of IP networking, including PoE, VLANs, and device addressing.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware installation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and respond effectively to critical events.
Preferred Certifications
- Genetec Security Centre Technical Certifications (Omnicast / Synergis)
- Câ˘CURE 9000 System Installer or Advanced Integrator Certification
- Networking qualification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, equivalent BTEC)
