💰 Pay: £14.58 per hour
📅 Hours: 42. 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, days, nights and weekends

We’re looking for a Security Officer to join our team at a large, expanding site — a smart campus where innovation drives social, economic, and environmental impact.
- Valid SIA licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
- 2+ Years Security Experience
- Strong communication and great customer service
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Punctual, reliable, and flexible to work days, nights, and weekends.
The Security Officer provides a professional security service by following assignment instructions to protect people, property, and premises. A Security Officer must hold a valid SIA licence before beginning operational duties, and the Security Officer is expected to maintain high standards of safety, vigilance, and customer service always.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
The role involves protecting property and premises by preventing unauthorised access, monitoring alarms and CCTV, and conducting internal and external patrols while enforcing safety rules and completing incident reports. Officers must uphold health & safety standards by reporting hazards, understanding emergency procedures, and following fire protocols. Duties also include preventing loss, waste, and crime through investigations, reporting suspicious activity, and operating security equipment. Strong customer service is essential, ensuring professional assistance, high presentation standards, and confidentiality. Additional responsibilities include accurate paperwork, shift booking on/off, and carrying out tasks assigned by management, supported by core competencies in self‑management, decision‑making, communication, operational excellence, and relationship building.
