Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Ensure all personnel have completed required training and hold a valid SIA licence or LDN.
• Manage roster planning, ensuring adequate coverage for absences, sickness, and holidays.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews with Security Officers, including coaching, counselling, and investigations.
• Monitor and uphold professional standards, appearance, and behaviour of all security personnel.
• Keep assignment instructions, site documentation, and records up to date.
• Accurately report all incidents in line with company and client policies.
• Support the Security Management Team in implementing best practices and improving service effectiveness.
• Plan, deliver, and support staff training, including routine duties and emergency procedures.
• Monitor and escalate faults with security equipment promptly (CCTV, access control, alarms, etc.).
• Ensure all reporting and documentation meet compliance requirements.
• Handle security-related queries during the shift, resolving issues where possible and escalating when required.

• Desirable qualifications for this role include a Health & Safety at Work certification, Customer Service training, and a First Aid at Work certification. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate strong behavioural competencies, including the ability to lead by example and inspire others, manage time effectively, and make well‑informed decisions. They should communicate confidently with team members and stakeholders, show strong commercial and operational awareness, and plan and forecast effectively. In addition, they will be skilled at building positive customer relationships and maintaining strong, professional networks.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Valid SIA licence
• Right to work in the UK
• Five‑year checkable employment history or acceptable supporting documentation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Competent in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
• Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
• Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities
• Demonstrates the Securitas values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness
• Proven supervisor experience within a data centre environment
• Strong understanding of data centre operations and procedures
• Proven experience managing and supporting a team of Security Officers
