💰 Pay: £13.80ph
📅 Hours: 48 hrs per week (Tuesday-Friday)

From monitoring alarms and CCTV to managing access control, conducting thorough patrols and maintaining accurate records, you’ll play a key part in creating a safe and well‑run environment every day.

You’ll use your Security Officer expertise to prevent loss, deter crime and respond calmly to incidents, ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.

Job Description
What you'll be doing:
- Prevent and deter unauthorised access while safeguarding employees, visitors, property and assets.
- Monitor CCTV, fire and intruder alarms, and conduct regular internal and external patrols.
- Manage gatehouse or weighbridge operations in a busy environment, ensuring smooth traffic flow and parking control.
- Handle key management, locking/unlocking duties and routine equipment tests.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, supporting staff and visitors professionally at all times.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, reporting hazards, incidents and unsafe practices promptly.
- Investigate alarms, suspicious activity and onsite incidents, completing accurate written and verbal reports.
- Operate radios, stop-and-search procedures and other site-specific security equipment.
- Maintain logs, records, visitor passes and all required paperwork to company and client standards.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:
- A valid SIA licence.
- Be willing and able to work shifts covering days, nights and week-ends
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
- The ability to embody and uphold the Securitas core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness
- A full UK driving licence and own transport is desirable.
