    📍 Location: Broughton, Chester, CH4
    💰 Pay: £36,067.24 per annum
    📅 Hours: 12‑hour shifts on a 4‑on / 4‑off, days‑only rota.

    Stepping into the role of Aviation Security Supervisor means taking on a position where your leadership genuinely makes a difference every single day. This is a hands‑on, people‑focused role where you’ll guide a dedicated security team, keep operations running safely, and help make sure the aerodrome stays fully compliant and ready for anything. From supervising passenger screening to supporting Ground Security Officers and making sure everyone has the training they need, you’ll be right at the centre of it all.

    Job Description

    • Live and demonstrate the Securitas Core Values — Integrity, Vigilance, Helpfulness — in everything you do.
    • Oversee aviation security operations in line with the Airport Security Programme & National Aviation Security Programme (NASP).
    • Provide day-to-day supervisory cover for on-site aircraft passenger screening.
    • Ensure a strong and effective departmental security presence across the aerodrome.
    • Manage and administer staff training, observations and compliance with NASP and local requirements.
    • Deliver administrative support to Ground Security Officers (GSOs).
    • Monitor and maintain appearance, performance, awareness and conduct of security staff.
    • Keep your team informed through timely dissemination of intelligence, instructions and security updates.
    • Deploy fully trained staff to aerodrome and site emergencies following established procedures.
    • Review, refine and implement procedures to ensure consistent, high-quality performance across the department.

    Qualifications

    Essential:

    • Holds a full, clean UK driving licence
    • Proven experience within aviation and/or industrial security environments.
    • Strong team leadership capability and confidence in managing people.
    • Excellent communication and decision‑making skills.
    • Ability to recognise risk, think strategically and drive operational excellence.
    • Physically fit, well‑presented, and professional at all times.
    • IT‑literate with the ability to work flexibly as required.
    • Capable of achieving an SC and CTC clearance

    Due to the nature of this opportunity, candidates must be able to achieve Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and Security Check (SC) Clearance - Must be a British National and have lived in the UK for the last 5 years. (this could take 4-6 weeks to complete)

    • DfT NASP Level 2
    • Threat Assessor training
    • AET (Award in Education & Training)
    • Health & Safety qualification
    • First Aid certification
    • Manual Handling
    • Human Factors training
