As a Security Officer at Securitas, you’ll do more than protect people, property, and assets—you’ll help create a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for everyone on site. Through your awareness, integrity, and calm approach, you’ll ensure security standards are upheld while making those around you feel supported and reassured.
Whether you’re managing access control, carrying out patrols, monitoring systems, or responding to incidents, as a Security Officer you’ll be a key part of day‑to‑day operations. Working within a dynamic environment, you’ll follow established procedures, support emergency responses, and communicate effectively to prevent disruption and maintain safety at all times.

Job Description
Responsibilities
You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and assets safe. That includes:
- Controlling access to the site by welcoming, verifying, and assisting staff, visitors, and contractors.
- Conducting regular patrols to monitor safety, security, and compliance across the site.
- Ensuring security procedures, policies, and site regulations are followed at all times.
- Responding effectively to incidents and supporting emergency procedures, including evacuations and searches.
- Maintaining a high level of vigilance, identifying risks early, reporting incidents, and helping prevent disruption.
- Accurately completing logs, reports, and handovers to ensure clear communication between shifts.

Qualifications
What we’re looking for:

- A valid SIA licence
- Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and bank holidays
- The right to work in the UK, with a 5‑year checkable work and address history
- Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
