Screening Supervisor

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Read and apply the Screening Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Require datacentre personnel to utilise metal detection and/or handheld wand devices for entry to and exit from secure areas
• Conduct handheld wand searches and walkthrough metal detector screenings
• Assist the Security Team Manager (STM) with scheduling of Screening Officers
• Monitor traffic flow through screening checkpoints and recommend staffing adjustments as needed
• Follow correct procedures for all matters requiring escalation
• Respond to escalations
• Collect shift activity reports and submit to the STM for review
• Conduct shift handovers, including inspection of Screening Officers for correct uniform and equipment
• Ensure all posts are adequately staffed
• Maintain screening stations in accordance with the Screening SOP

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• Must have a high school diploma, equivalent secondary education
• Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screening and background checks
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history
• Perform physical activities including walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling
• Maintain composure in interactions with authorities, clients, colleagues and the public, often in high-pressure situations
• Great customer service skills (white glove attitude)
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken
