Tradescroft, the new Barclays campus in Glasgow’s Tradeston area, will house global technology, operations, and functional teams, bringing "new high-value roles" to the city with up to 5000 staff located across three new buildings.

The Securitas team provided professional security expertise to one of the client’s most important openings of the year.

Securing the event required close liaison with the Bank’s, and the Scottish First Minister’s, Close Protection Teams, Government representatives, event staff, bank executives, construction teams and the national press.

To add into the mix the team also had to consider the potential risk of protest action with the COP26 Global Environmental Conference only two weeks away.

Nick Holden, Securitas Head of People & Operations – Barclays EMEA contract, commented:

“Our team proudly delivered a structured and secure event which was commented on by the Police, Scottish Government Officials, and the client. Securitas provides security services across the EMEA region for Barclays with teams working in both their corporate and retail estates. The services we provide, such as at the Glasgow event, continue to assure our client they have selected the right supplier with the right senior leadership team able to discuss expansion into other areas of delivery. Thank you and congratulations to the Glasgow Campus Team."
