First response with an on-site team

Our First Response team and vehicle service can support and strengthen your existing on-site security measures. Trained to manage emergencies and hazards such as small fires, lift failure, environmental spillage, car collision and fire alarm activation, the First Response team will manage the scene until the emergency services arrive.

First Response teams undergo comprehensive training which includes:

  • First stage fire-fighting capability ​
  • Fire science understanding​
  • Evacuation methods, including use of evacuation chair and lifts​
  • Safe release of lift passengers
  • Audit and inspection of on-site fire extinguishers and fire equipment
  • Familiarisation with on-site fire detection and alarm systems, routine testing of systems
  • First response to any alarm activation and liaison with other emergency services ​
  • Certified First Person On Scene (FPOS) First Aid and use of Defibrillator
  • First response to deal with environmental impact i.e. flooding, salvage​
  • Skills and competencies to take part in any test call offs or exercises as required by management​
  • Regular patrols to identify potential fire risks, report and make recommendations
  • Knowledge of the on-site Fire Risk Assessment and reporting to management of any non-compliance issues.
