KidsOut works tirelessly to bring joy to children facing significant challenges, these children have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse and arrive at a refuge with nothing.
Through initiatives like Giving Tree, the charity provides toys, fun experiences, and educational opportunities to children who might otherwise go without. Their efforts help restore a sense of normalcy and happiness in these young lives.

The Giving Tree Initiative and How Our Colleagues Got Involved
The Giving Tree was created to be an alternative to the traditional Secret Santa; instead of buying a fun gift for a colleague, the Giving Tree encourages people to buy a toy for a child fleeing domestic abuse in refuge.
The KidsOut charity provide organisations with Giving Tree tags for everyone taking part. Each tag includes the name of a child and the gift they or their parents have said they’d love to receive. While the names are fictional to protect the children’s identities, the gift requests are genuine.
Our teams from offices across the UK have been collecting toys, making donations, and purchasing gifts to ensure every child has something special to unwrap at Christmas. Thanks to the incredible generosity of our employees, over 250 gifts were donated by Securitas colleagues.
On 18 December, 12 of our employees also had the opportunity to volunteer at the KidsOut warehouse in Luton, where they sorted and packed gifts, so that they are ready to be shipped to refuges across the UK.

We have been able to bring joy and happiness to thousands of children living in refuge that would otherwise have received nothing over Christmas. The impact that these donations have on their lives is unimaginable, they deserve this and thank you to everyone who has helped make it possible."
