Securitas UK Presents the New Face of Security at MK Job Fair

29 January 2018

A rewarding and diverse career in Security awaits you – this was the message shared by Securitas, leading global security services provider, at the MK Job Fair on 26 and 27 January, at centre:MK.

As a large employer in Milton Keynes, as well as across the UK, Securitas spoke to visitors about a number of available vacancies, including the role of Protective Services Officer (PSO).

Securitas’ Protective Services Officers (PSOs) are professionally trained and developed to City & Guilds standards. As part of their training, Officers are certified in first aid, counter terrorism, customer services, protection services methodology and are also fully trained fire marshals.

Securitas strives to raise standards in the industry and is the only security provider to offer the Protective Services Officer (PSO) role, complete with training and accreditation.

Charlene Emerson, Recruitment Advisor at Securitas commented: “It was great to be a part of the MK Job Fair and to raise awareness of the opportunities available in the security industry. Many people think of security as a lone figure with flashlight on guard duty, but the reality is very different. At Securitas, we bring together people, technology and knowledge to deliver a unique range of protective security services.

“The opportunity to work and train as a Protective Services Officer (PSO) is open to individuals of all ages and backgrounds and we always encourage diversity when recruiting for our vacancies. In addition, we are proud to be working with the Living Wage Foundation to promote the real living wage, to help end low pay in the security sector.”
