Securitas UK to host annual Community Awards
09 September 2018
Securitas UK will host its annual Community Awards on Thursday 13th September at Sopwell House, in St. Albans.
In its ninth year, the Community Awards recognise the outstanding efforts of Securitas teams and individuals over the past year. Winners are awarded in ten different categories; outstanding act, leadership, team, safety first, innovation, community, helpfulness, vigilance, integrity and core values.
The finalists are quarterly Community Award winners, who have been nominated during the year and judged by a panel of Securitas colleagues. All quarterly winners go through to the annual Community Awards as finalists.
Working in association with RiskXtra, Securitas will also announce the winner of the Good Customer Award. The award recognises customers who work in partnership with Securitas to raise security standards and shape best practice in the industry.
Brian Riis Nielsen, Country President & Managing Director at Securitas UK commented: “This year’s finalists are a credit to both Securitas and the security industry. They embody our core values of Integrity, Vigilance and Helpfulness and represent the commitment, bravery and passion behind our six protective services.
“I also look forward to welcoming our customers on the evening. The Good Customer award is an important part of Community Awards, as it recognises the importance of collaboration to raise standards and ensure security is at the top of the business agenda.”
Securitas will be raising funds for charity partner Wooden Spoon on the night. Since it was established in 1983, Wooden Spoon has distributed more than £26 million to over 700 projects, helping over 1 million disabled and disadvantaged children.
